We are seeking an experienced Department Manager to lead our Shoe Sales team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, coaching associates to meet customer expectations, and ensuring the department is merchandised to company standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Set sales goals for associates and coach them to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Retrieve requested shoes from the stockroom area and educate associates on products
  • Observe associate and customer interaction and provide feedback to further develop selling skills
  • Ensure the department is merchandised per company standards and oversee daily department maintenance tasks
  • Assist with fulfillment of customer internet orders and work as a team player to ensure every customer\u0027s needs are met

Requirements:
  • Collaborative manager who helps each member of their team be the best they can be each day
  • Patient and courteous with good active listening and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoys teaching and coaching others to best service our customers
  • Prior retail management experience, preferably in shoes
  • Ability to motivate associates to achieve sales goals and entrepreneurial spirit to drive business
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills
  • This is a fast-paced position that requires physical movement, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing ladders and/or stairs
  • Good communication with coworkers, management, and buying division
  • Available to work varied days and hours as schedule requires, including evenings and weekends
