Anesthesia Technician Specialist

The Anesthesia Technician II plays a vital role in supporting the Anesthesia team in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires specialized experience and expertise in anesthesia procedures, equipment, and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist anesthesiologists with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors.
- Assist with induction by connecting patients to monitors.
- Assist with intubation and maintenance of patient airways.
- Assist with insertion of IVs and other invasive lines.
- Support anesthesiologists during outside cases and anticipate their needs.
- Provide support to the patient care team throughout the case.
- Perform salvaged blood processing per protocol, as required.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology of the cardiopulmonary systems and infection control.
- Advanced working knowledge of equipment for anesthesia and airway management.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge relating to anesthesia procedures and effectively anticipate the needs of anesthesiologists.
- Ability to utilize and troubleshoot problems with equipment used in the administration of anesthesia.
- Ability to set priorities and accept instructions and direction from physicians or other clinical personnel.
- Must be able to write and speak effectively in English.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with staff in and outside of the department.
This position requires flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Anesthesia Technician II will work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality patient care.
