Job Overview

At Office Depot and Office Max, the Store Operations Manager will take charge of fostering a robust customer and sales service culture within the establishment.

The Store Operations Manager will:
  • Be responsible for overseeing sales performance and pinpointing sales opportunities.
  • Formulate comprehensive store strategies and tactics to meet sales, service, and operational performance objectives.
  • Maximize sales and profitability by concentrating on key business initiatives.
  • Oversee associate training, nurture top talent, provide constructive feedback, and offer appropriate coaching and counseling.
  • Inspire and motivate associates to cultivate a customer-focused environment that leads to a memorable and positive customer experience.
  • Enhance customer retention, build strong relationships, and promote brand awareness and loyalty.
  • Manage hiring, merchandising, operations, and the execution of store and company standards while addressing associate and customer relations' concerns.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for all associates.
  • Engage in networking and establish positive relationships within the community.
  • Act as a Change Champion, initiating and supporting organizational change.
Note:

Candidates for the Store Operations Manager position will be enrolled in a bench/training program to prepare them for future openings.

Compensation, Benefits & Work Schedule: Upon successful completion of training, you will be assigned to a store and will be eligible to participate in the Retail General Manager Incentive program, which is measured on Store-level Metrics; compensated in accordance with the Incentive Plan terms and conditions.
