Faculty Position in Physical Therapy Education

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our Institute for Physical Therapy Education as a tenure-track professor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy education and a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, developing and delivering curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a strong research agenda, engaging in individual and collaborative scholarly work related to physical therapy education and practice.
- Participate in service activities, including academic advising, committee work, and professional service, to contribute to the growth and development of the Institute and the University.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching, research, and service skills.
- Earned degree in physical therapy (e.g., MPT, DPT) from an accredited college or university.
- Completed or anticipated timely completion of a terminal doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years (5 or more years preferred) teaching experience in physical therapy education settings.
- Evidence of professional development in the areas of teaching and learning.
- Knowledge around working with an interprofessional healthcare team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication abilities.
- 5+ years teaching experience in the academic setting in some capacity.
- Preferred in-depth knowledge of adult cardiopulmonary and/or neurologic physical therapist practice/scientific knowledgebase (in-depth knowledge of additional areas of physical therapist practice/scientific knowledgebase strongly encouraged).
