Job OverviewPosition Summary

The Radiologic Technologist I plays a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring exceptional patient care. This position requires a commitment to professional standards and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibits proficient imaging skills by conducting a range of radiological procedures, ensuring the utmost care for patients.
  • Adheres to established hospital and departmental protocols for patient identification and safety.
  • Maintains current licensure and fulfills continuing education obligations.
  • Demonstrates competency in imaging techniques for various patient demographics, from infants to the elderly.
General Expectations
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
  • Follows all institutional policies and standards.
  • For detailed responsibilities, refer to departmental orientation documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations for the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) of patients, including annual training and adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct.
QualificationsEducational Background
  • Associate's Degree is required or
  • Completion of an accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology with appropriate certification is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
  • Comprehensive understanding of x-ray machinery (both digital and analog), imaging printers, computer systems, PACS, and radiology information systems is essential.
  • Exhibits strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills along with excellent customer service abilities.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT-R) is required, along with
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Certifications
  • Must be licensed by the state of Ohio.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Regular lifting and carrying of weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling of weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
  • Regular stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Constantly requires eye/hand/foot coordination and effective communication skills.
