Role Overview: As a Registered Radiology Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to conduct radiology examinations and procedures for patients across all age groups. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Assisting in the scheduling of patient examinations.
  • Providing education to patients about the procedures and equipment to ensure their comfort and understanding.
  • Documenting and reporting any equipment malfunctions to management.

Ideal Candidate Profile: The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Produces high-quality images for accurate interpretation.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of technical data.
  • Addresses equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Educates patients about procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Ensures patient comfort and safety during examinations.
  • Assists in scheduling patient procedures.
  • Monitors patient priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrates care in operating Radiology equipment.
  • Assists Radiologists with various procedures.
  • Manages image acquisition and documentation via PACS.
  • Provides mentorship to new hires and Radiology students.
  • Engages in continuous learning through professional development opportunities.
  • May rotate through different diagnostic imaging modalities.
  • Performs other assigned duties as necessary.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Certifications Required:

  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT).
  • Current state licensure prior to employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift or assist with lifting patients and handling equipment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Adherence to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
