Qualifications and Requirements

Experience: A minimum of one year of paid experience working with children is essential.

Education:

• High school graduation or equivalent is required. Completion of 30 college semester units, including coursework relevant to the position, such as child psychology, is preferred.

• Coursework in Early Child Care or Child Growth and Development may substitute for six (6) months of the required experience.

• Certain assignments may necessitate constant vigilance to ensure the physical safety of students who may exhibit aggressive or self-harming behaviors, potentially leading to serious injury to themselves or others.
