Your Role:
This position transcends basic programming. As a full stack developer, you will leverage your enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and techniques to identify necessary enhancements in our systems. You will assist clients in navigating their most challenging issues by utilizing cutting-edge architectural strategies, tools, and technologies. Your contributions will ensure that the solutions crafted by our team are mindful of the architecture, operational environment, and future upgrades.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering within a Linux environment.
- Proficiency in software development using Python and Java for at least 2 years.
- Experience in data modeling and normalization for over a year.
- At least 1 year of experience in developing and maintaining web-based server applications, including algorithms that work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to gather requirements from project teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience leading small, cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Knowledge of data modeling practices.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of software engineering experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with unstructured databases like MongoDB and Elasticsearch, as well as graph databases such as Neo4J.
- Familiarity with web design using JavaScript, Angular, or Python Shiny.
- Experience with Apache NiFi for data flow processing.
- Knowledge of using pig scripts for analytics on cloud data stored in Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing both long-term and short-term tasks.
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, and creativity.
- Master's degree is a plus.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
