The Quality Assurance Inspector 2 is responsible for evaluating a variety of components, parts, and products within the designated area, adhering to all relevant specifications and quality assurance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough examinations and quality control assessments on products, materials, and components throughout various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to established quality and reliability benchmarks.
  • Engages in the collection of statistical data related to products and processes.
  • Performs visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical assessments of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Executes visual inspections of soldered assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, as well as harness assemblies.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for reporting the acceptance or rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
  • Identifies design, process, or other inefficiencies and communicates quality concerns and issues.
  • Conducts routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, individual parts, final assemblies, and tooling.
  • Reads, writes, and comprehends English effectively.
  • Interprets technical drawings with multiple views.
  • Locates and utilizes the correct part, assembly, and material specifications or drawings.
  • Applies tolerances and dimensions with the required accuracy and precision.
  • Prepares certifications in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintains both hard copy and electronic records.
  • Performs other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Attendance:
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential. May require working nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
  • Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking indoors.
  • Conducts continuous visual inspections, with and without magnifying devices.
  • Utilizes hand tools, measuring devices, and magnifying devices (e.g., gauges, calipers, rulers).
  • Engages in major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
  • Performs repeated lifting from floor, table, and shelf.
  • Pushes and pulls carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
  • Minimal heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
  • Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, and uneven walking surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
  • Must possess a visual acuity of 20/25 in at least one eye, either corrected or uncorrected.
Job Specifications:

Education:
A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will enable successful performance of job expectations.

Certifications:
Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience:
5 years of relevant experience (preferably in Aerospace and Electronics environments).

Skills:
  • Ability to adhere to established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of applying a systematic quality assurance approach while utilizing existing procedures to resolve a range of technical issues.
  • Proficient in measuring and using test equipment as dictated by job assignments.
  • Possesses intricate knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, manufacturing orders, wiring diagrams, and the ability to add tolerances using decimals.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills.
  • Reads written/printed specifications and drawings.
