Job Summary

New England Heritage Properties is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of an assigned portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze budgets, financial reports, and general ledgers.
  • Responsible for all aspects of billing activities, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Direct responsibility for weekly payroll processing, maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and posting to the General Ledger.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate and timely month-end closing.
  • Review all deposits for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage and maintain Employee Personnel files (onboarding paperwork, employee reviews, and compensation changes).
  • Assist with training new employees or new duties to financial staff.
  • Develop and implement accounting operations processes and systems that are consistent and reliable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of one to three years experience in accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Prior experience in property management is preferred.
