Nursing Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Supervisor and Operations Coordinator to join our team at Ochsner Health. This role will oversee the coordination of patient care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care and supervise nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines to support evidence-based practice.
- Manage conflict on assigned shifts and collaborate with other supervisors and unit leadership as needed.
- Collaborate with patient quality, safety, and experience leadership to promote patient quality, safety, and experience processes.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit by ensuring effective scheduling, staffing, and clinical supplies and resources are available for patient care.
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1 year of relevant experience as a registered nurse or 2 years of experience as an LPN in an acute care setting.
- Ability to be self-directed and proficient in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. The incumbent has an occupational risk for exposure to all communicable diseases.
