Janitorial Assistant

At Stryten Energy, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment for our employees and visitors.

• Handle, package, and dispose of trash, recyclable materials, and hazardous wastes or chemicals, including operating trash compactors.
• Inspect and clean Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Operate floor scrubbers to maintain a clean and safe floor surface.
• Clean break rooms, locker rooms, rest rooms, and office areas to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
• Audit waste collection containers to ensure they are properly labeled, stored, and transported to disposal areas.
• Perform respirator fit testing for employees as required.
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements and follow Excell Lean Manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Basic reading, writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in using a personal computer for basic word processing and spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit for continuous standing, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Physically capable of wearing PPE, including gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes, in accordance with established policy.
• Physically capable of occasionally working in extreme conditions (hot, humid, cold).

Equipment Used:

Janitorial equipment, respirator fit testing equipment, and PPE as required.
