Procurement Specialist

BLUSA Defense Mfg. is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet our cost, delivery, and quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and negotiating purchases for materials and services in an ERP environment
- Compiling and analyzing data to perform price analysis and review proposals to establish best total value
- Performing bid/proposal activities and ensuring that requirements are properly communicated to suppliers
- Interfacing with internal customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials/services
- Managing supplier performance to cost, schedule, and quality requirements
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical and/or electrical experience is a plus
- Machine shop or metal fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with ERP systems
