Key Responsibilities- Independently and reliably carry out vegetation maintenance along our rail network, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to train traffic.
- Operate a range of equipment, including chainsaws, brush cutters, and mulching machinery, to maintain vegetation and ensure safe passage for trains.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
- Clearing of cuttings and other vegetation debris is also a critical aspect of this role.
- Utilize your trained eye to quickly identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to prevent accidents.
- Relevant qualifications in forestry, horticulture, or a related field.
- Current chainsaw certification or willingness to obtain with our support.
- A valid class B driver's license for daily travel to construction sites and transportation of equipment.
- Ability to pass a fitness assessment as part of the selection process.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and adapt to new situations.
