Responsabilidades en este puesto:
Asumir la responsabilidad y la rendición de cuentas por la atención de los pacientes que están siendo tratados por Asistentes de Terapia Física y técnicos de terapia. Puede ser asignado para orientar al personal y a los estudiantes, y asumir las funciones y responsabilidades del supervisor en su ausencia.
Evaluar las necesidades de los pacientes; identificar e iniciar intervenciones de terapia física adecuadas; colaborar con otros miembros del equipo de atención al paciente para mantener los estándares de práctica profesional en terapia física y trabajo en equipo interdisciplinario.
Observar y evaluar el efecto del tratamiento, así como el logro de los objetivos a corto y largo plazo. Recomendar cambios al médico, si es necesario.
Realizar una evaluación adecuada de cada paciente y realizar reevaluaciones según la política. Llevar a cabo un puntaje de calidad (QI) preciso y oportuno. La población atendida incluye pacientes adultos y geriátricos que requieren un programa y servicios de rehabilitación médica para adultos.
Capacidad para evaluar el dolor del paciente que interfiere con el nivel óptimo de función y participación en la rehabilitación; realizar intervenciones adecuadas para reducir el dolor; contactar al médico para intervenciones necesarias.
Formular y actualizar un plan de atención específico para cada paciente en terapia física.
Otras tareas según se asignen.
Requisitos:
Licencia actual como Terapeuta Físico en el estado correspondiente.
Experiencia en rehabilitación inpatient preferida.
Certificación actual en BLS/CPR.
