Medical Support Specialist

About the Role
As a Medical Assistant at CenterWell Senior Primary Care, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist healthcare professionals with various tasks, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, including vital signs, injections, and diagnostic tests
- Collect and process patient specimens, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper sterilization of equipment
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement patient care plans, promoting holistic well-being and health outcomes
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and needs in a compassionate and empathetic manner
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices and process enhancements
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from a recognized program
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (or other languages as required by the facility)
- Current CPR certification and any other certifications as required by the facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification
- 1 or more years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical office or clinical environment
- Experience with electronic medical records, HEDIS, and ICD/CPT coding
- Professional phlebotomy experience and knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
