Job Summary

The Tatitlek Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnostic testing, and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Install, overhaul, and effect repairs on a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment
  • Operate and make necessary adjustments to the building's automated computer Trane Tracer Automated System
  • Research specifications and make installation corrections to ensure proper function of equipment
  • Interpret technical documentation and apply advanced trade techniques to modify and execute repairs
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of EMS and ability to make operational changes to remote HVAC equipment
  • Universal CFC Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic circuitry, high and low voltage electricity, pneumatic and electronic control systems
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and apply advanced trade techniques
  • Working knowledge of other trades such as sheet metal, fire dampers, zone control, and air flow volume and velocity
  • Proficiency in all types of soldering and brazing
  • Ability to operate a variety of test equipment
Working Conditions

The Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Specialist will work in a variety of Government buildings, both inside and outside, in all types of weather. The position requires the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, use hand tools, and work in cramped quarters. The Specialist will also be required to work on twenty-four (24) hour emergency call after working hours, weekends, and holidays.

Additional Qualifying Factors
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance
  • Satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references, and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States
