Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing machine setups and preventive maintenance on all production equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine repair and maintenance, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform setups on machines in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and repair machine problems, including electrical issues and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Assist in training new mechanics and setup operators to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with the parts department to obtain new parts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Comply with company rules and regulations, as well as maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years experience in machine repair or equivalent

Competencies

  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools, such as standard and metric wrenches and sockets, screwdrivers, electric meters and testers, saws, drills, and electric sander/grinder.
  • Experience with standard and advanced tools, as well as computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to comprehend parts/operator manuals and read schematics and prints.
