Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer

Metalcraft Automation Group, a division of Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc., is seeking a skilled Automation Controls Engineer to support business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and commissioning automated systems for various manufacturing industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and develop electrical machine schematics and panel layouts for automated systems.
  • Program HMI's, PLC's, motion controls, and vision systems.
  • Specify electrical components for procurement and/or direct modification of products.
  • Test and debug automated systems prior to customer run-off.
  • Provide necessary electrical controls training to customer personnel.
  • Support customers' automation systems remotely and onsite.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in automation design and programming.
  • Allen Bradley PLC and HMI controls experience.
  • Strong knowledge of 2D software design tools.
  • FANUC robot setup and programming experience.
  • Material Handling ROBOGUIDE, Welding WeldPRO, Painting PaintPro, CRX Collaborative, and Vision experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Octopuz 3D robot simulation experience.
  • Highly motivated team player.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
