Student Success Specialist

Carlow University is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Success and Retention Specialist to join our team. This is a Title III grant funded position that reports to the Director of Retention. The Specialist will play a critical role in promoting a positive and successful learning experience for students, with a focus on increasing student persistence, retention, and completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive student success and retention plan, working closely with faculty, staff, and students to identify and address areas of need.
- Lead outreach efforts to students who have left Carlow before graduating, and coordinate re-enrollment and degree completion initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for proactive outreach to at-risk students, and develop strategies to support their success.
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop and implement retention technologies, programs, and initiatives.
- Monitor academic progress of students, analyzing data to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.
- Develop and implement student success and outreach plans, utilizing proactive strategies to re-engage students who need additional support.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Summer Bridge Programs, and develop events and activities to support student engagement and exploration.
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop and implement workshops and programming that support retention and student success.
- Commitment to student success and the mission of Carlow University.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work as a member of a team.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working with university students.
- Understanding of student development theory, specifically in first year, commuter, and transfer student needs and engagement.
