Seasonal Position: This role is active during the summer months.

Position Overview

The Poolside Attendant is tasked with ensuring the pool deck and adjacent areas are kept clean and orderly, while also managing the registration of all individuals accessing the pool facilities. The goal is to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness as set by Druid Hills Golf Club. Responsibilities also include maintaining the cleanliness of the pool restrooms and associated club amenities, as well as assisting with the laundering of towels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the men's and women's Pool Locker Rooms in a tidy and organized manner, free from debris such as paper towels and other waste.
  • Restock soap and towels in the men's and women's Pool Locker Rooms as needed.
  • Regularly collect litter from the pool deck and ensure trash receptacles are emptied frequently.
  • Daily sweeping of the pool deck and locker rooms to ensure cleanliness.
  • Dry mop the locker room floors regularly to provide a safe, slip-resistant environment.
  • Monitor and ensure that all individuals entering the pool area are properly registered.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the pool deck to verify guest registration.
  • Keep a daily record of members and guests using the facilities.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of towels is available for member use throughout the day.
  • Be consistently present at the check-in table to welcome members and their guests.
  • Prepare charge tickets for all visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a friendly demeanor, be responsive, and demonstrate a member-focused attitude while working collaboratively in a team.
  • Availability during weekends, holidays, and evenings is required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are necessary, along with meticulous record-keeping abilities.
  • Previous experience in a private club setting is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of the workplace are essential.
  • Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and methods is beneficial.
  • Enthusiasm, teamwork, and attention to detail are crucial for serving members and guests.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Regular lifting, pulling, bending, and repetitive movements.
  • Occasional sitting.
  • Must be capable of lifting at least ten pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to loud noises and chemicals; must adhere to safety protocols when handling chemicals.
  • Ability to work in hot and outdoor conditions.
