Working Hours:

  • Day Shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with rotating on-call responsibilities

About the Role

The Laboratory Systems Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the Clinical Laboratory Information System, including its integration with hospital systems, laboratory instruments, and peripheral equipment. This role involves troubleshooting system and application issues, exploring new system capabilities, maintaining system dictionaries, and providing training to laboratory personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle for assigned software or hardware initiatives, including project initiation, functionality analysis, and implementation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT best practices regarding system security, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
  • Address and resolve system errors or failures in hardware and software components.
  • Provide support for the anatomic pathology system as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Field of Study: Science, Health Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines
  • Experience with laboratory applications such as Sunquest, Copath, and Isensix

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with HL-7 interface applications

Certifications

Preferred:

  • Certified Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or related specialty certification (ASCP or AMT)
