Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Safety Specialist to join our team at Cone Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe environment for patients who require close supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized attention to patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Document hourly and as needed on the Observer/Sitter Documentation Log.
  • Report patient status changes, patient/family concerns, or unsafe conditions to the RN.
  • Relay information/messages to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their significant others as needed.
  • Perform environmental searches for contraband and document on the Suicide Precautions Documentation Form.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience working with at-risk patients.
  • Required: BLS (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
