Job Title: Lead Ultrasound Technologist

Stability Direct is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Ukiah, California.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ultrasound department in delivering high-quality images and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This will involve supervising and mentoring ultrasound technology and sonography personnel, overseeing quality assurance, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ultrasound department in delivering high-quality images and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor ultrasound technology and sonography personnel.
  • Oversee quality assurance and maintain equipment.
  • Act as an expert clinician and leader/resource to the healthcare team.
  • Conduct daily rounds with physicians and other staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Investigate and resolve patient care and operational issues.
  • Initiate and coordinate individual and team conferences to revise care plans for optimal patient care.
  • Assess personnel requirements and request additional personnel as needed.
  • Authorize and assign overtime to personnel.
  • Complete monthly unit staff schedules accurately and in collaboration with staff members and management.
  • Facilitate throughput through early discharge of patients, pull-ahead beds, and timely admission/transfer of patients.
  • Work with facility services to maintain a safe and operational department and equipment.
  • Prevent complications of care, including nosocomial infections.
  • Conduct emergency preparedness reviews.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in nursing or related field.
  • Five years' technical experience.
  • One year's leadership experience.
  • Two years' experience in acute care nursing in a hospital setting.
