Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Operations Manager to join our team at BioSpace, Inc. This role will be responsible for managing corporate income/franchise taxes, including tax return preparation, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of all returns, extensions, and payments of taxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage corporate income/franchise taxes, including tax return preparation and filing
  • Reconcile tax accounts, prepare corporate tax provisions, and prepare income tax disclosures for publicly issued financial statements
  • Monitor tax legislation updates and prepare memoranda on their impact and compliance requirements
  • Manage tax credits and incentives, including research and development tax credits and orphan drug credits
  • Support tax controversy and audit responses, including gathering data and preparing responses
  • Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance in functional areas under this position's purview
Requirements
  • 7 years of proven experience in a role requiring similar skills in Tax
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a related field such as Finance or Accounting (concentration in Tax a plus)
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Strong project management skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented
