Tasting Room Concierge

Join our team at Bottaia Winery, where we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Tasting Room Host/Hostess, you'll play a key role in exceeding our guests' expectations and making their visits truly unforgettable.

We're a dynamic and driven team of professionals dedicated to creating memorable experiences for our guests.

We farm over 200 acres with 22 French and Italian varietals under the Bottaia and Ponte Winery labels.

The estimated salary for this position is $16.00 + Commission.

• Provide exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for our guests.
• Explain how the tasting process works and ring up guest transactions.
• Escorts the guests to tasting counter to begin their tastings.
• Make, modify, and confirm reservations.
• Greet wine club members who are picking up their wine club package and assist them with the pick-up process.
• Thank the guests for coming and invite them to come back again.
• Stock wine and merchandise as requested by the Winery Manager or Tasting Room Supervisor.
• Must be knowledgeable about merchandise and gourmet foods and be able to assist guests on the floor.

• Must be 21 and over.
• Exhibit integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.
• Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
• 1-3 years in a sales related field.
• Must have sales ability and be able to up-sell bottles to cases.
• Must be outgoing and able to approach guests and initiate conversation.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work special events (i.e., barrel tastings, wine club pick up parties, etc.).
• Experience with wine desirable but not essential.
• Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoys working with the guests.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to engage the guests in a clear and professional manner.
• Be willing and able to work well under pressure.
• Work in a high paced work environment.
• Ability to multitask.
• Riverside County Food Handler's Card is required.
• RABS (Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service) Certification is required.
