Heavy Equipment Procurement Assistant Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Heavy Equipment Procurement Assistant to join our procurement team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of heavy equipment and supplies.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and gas and diesel machinery is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills to efficiently service our customer base.

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

Responsibilities
As a Heavy Equipment Procurement Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining vendor reference material database
  • Reviewing parts request forms for complete information and authorized signature
  • Placing orders for parts and merchandise in a timely fashion after researching for best price and delivery schedule based on customer needs
  • Maintaining purchase orders, prices, and status
  • Providing technical support to all Global Machinery stores
  • Receiving purchase orders and transferring parts and merchandise to requesting locations

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Previous parts sales experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field
  • A valid California driver's license
  • 1-2 years of experience repairing equipment, purchasing repair parts, or warehouse-related work

Work Environment
This position will be based in our Sacramento location, where you will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional lifting of 25 to 120 lbs. and exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
