Job Title: Medical Assistant/EMT

HealthPartners is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant/EMT to join our team at our Apple Valley Clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards, ICSI guidelines, and GHI policies and procedures.
  • Support patient care by preparing exam rooms and treatment rooms for examination and procedures.
  • Assist with medication administration, vital signs, and other clinical procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.
  • Ensure clinic supplies are adequately stocked and well-organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Graduated of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT license.
  • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration through AAMA or AMT is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care setting.
  • Computer skills.
