Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Ale House Grand Junction. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food to the exact chefs specifications, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, adhering to safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chefs instructions, demonstrating a positive and professional attitude.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stock inventory appropriately, ensuring adequate supplies for peak periods.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion, meeting our guests' expectations.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism, addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Train and teach other employees, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Complete side work as directed by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the success of our team.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Chef, Cook, or Prep Cook in a high-volume and fast-paced kitchen.
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks, meeting our high standards.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques.
  • Ability to follow instructions, working effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and follow sanitization rules, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Able to stay on your feet for an extended period and lift up to 25 lbs unassisted, demonstrating physical stamina.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations.
  • Time management skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Remain available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
