Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose issues with heavy equipment, including diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform complex repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery, such as pavers, millers, rollers, and bobcats.
  • Supervise and train shop mechanics to ensure high-quality work and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and repair plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Document and maintain records of maintenance and repairs using our work order tracking software.
Requirements
  • Skilled and proficient in small engine repairs, large tractor truck diesels, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with CAT and CUMMINS engines, Peterbilt and MACK trucks, and other heavy equipment.
  • Advanced skills in welding, including metal fabrication and repair.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor junior mechanics.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a dynamic and challenging environment, with frequent exposure to outdoor elements and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional travel to job sites and company locations may be required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
