Job Title: Mechanical Foreman - Piping Projects

At Vertical Mechanical Group Inc, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Foreman to lead our piping projects division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, ensuring high-quality installations, and meeting client expectations on all piping projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of piping systems, including refrigerant piping, split systems, and air handlers.
  • Manage and direct on-site personnel, including journeymen and apprentices, ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain project timelines.
  • Mentor and coach employees, fostering a culture of growth within the team.
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings for accurate execution of project plans.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Piping Foreman in commercial HVAC construction, including design, construction, budgeting, and management.
  • Extensive experience with various piping systems; expertise in hydronics is highly desirable.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Proven leadership in managing job site personnel, including mentoring and coaching journeymen and apprentices.
  • Strong familiarity with mechanical drawings and commercial construction.
  • Foundational understanding of building systems and their integration with HVAC and plumbing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical School, Trade School, or Apprenticeship Program Certifications are a plus.
