Job Summary:

The Clinical Director will oversee the daily management of the outpatient clinic, ensuring clinical supervision is available during all operational hours. This includes developing a quality improvement plan and monitoring adherence to regulations/licensing requirements.

Salary:$75,330 - $100,410 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Training: Provide weekly/biweekly individual and group supervision with each counselor, document supervision notes, and assist counselors in effective treatments for clients.
  • Clinical Staff Management: Supervise clinical staff activities, including monitoring groups, individual therapy, documentation practices, and charting to maintain high standards of quality and effectiveness.
  • Direct Care: Provide direct clinical care to clients in individual and group settings, as needed.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the outpatient clinic.
  • Billing and Utilization Review: Coordinate with the contracted billing company and internal utilization review staff.
  • Electronic Health Record: Assist in implementing and collaborating with the Electronic Health Record company and building data and compliance infrastructure.
  • Performance Improvement: Participate in monthly medical records meetings and quality assurance performance improvement meetings.
  • Employee Management: Participate in the overall employment process for clinical staff, including recruiting, interviewing, employing, supervising, and discharging.
  • Training and Development: Provide supervision and documentation of clinical staff training and development and monitor compliance of staff credentialing.
  • Referral Development: Network with other organizations to increase the referral base.
  • Treatment Team Leadership: Function as Leader/Liaison of multi-disciplinary Clinical Treatment Team.
  • Program Evaluation: Evaluate the quality of the program on an ongoing basis and develop cost-effective methods to provide services.
  • Team Culture: Foster a healthy and positive team-approach with staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health Related field.
  • Licensure/Certification: License in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or substance use; clinical supervision certification/ licensure required.
  • Experience: 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Additional Requirements: ASAM experience and knowledge, 5 years of Mental Health and/or Substance Use Treatment experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
