Operating Room Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Professional to join our team as a Surgical Technologist at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist will work under general supervision, following established procedural guides in the preparation of sterile supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures. They will perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care and function autonomously as a member of the operating room team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
- Perform room duties involved with direct patient care
- Function autonomously as a member of the operating room team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma
- Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology or surgical technology military program
- Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (formerly LCC-ST) preferred
- Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire
