About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

Job Summary

This is a 30 hour per week position working day shifts. As a WOC Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and facilitating progress and transitions across the institution.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams to implement quality improvement plans and interventions.
  • Contribute to efforts to improve healthcare efficiency while attaining positive outcomes.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor the quality of WOC nursing practice.
  • Provide critical review and evaluation of policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance wound, ostomy, and continence care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's in Nursing preferred or currently obtaining Master's in Nursing.
  • Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • 3-5 years of experience in nursing.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with external customers and agencies.
