We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Specialist to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements and best practices in labor and delivery care.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
- Texas or Compact State Nursing License – RN required.
- BCLS Certification.
- NRP Certification (Chapters 1-9) within 3 months of hire or immediately with Newborn, Labor and Delivery/Antepartum experience.
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire or immediately if required at previous employer.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring through AWHONN within 6 months from finish of floor orientation.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Nursing Program.
- Perinatal and neonatal healthcare experience.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. course certification within 6 months of hire.
- Lactation Educator or Consultant.
- AWHONN member.
