Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Gadsden Correctional Facility in Quincy, Florida. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing medical services to detainees, ensuring their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat detainees under the direction of health services administrators and supervising nurses.
  • Administer medication, document patient information, and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
  • Perform emergency procedures, including administering basic emergency medical aid and securing detainees in confined areas.
  • Conduct chart reviews, review detainee health status, and complete necessary interventions and treatments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure detainees receive quality medical care.
Requirements
  • Degree in nursing and current, valid nursing license for the state of Florida.
  • One year of experience in nursing, preferably with EKG, phlebotomy, injections, IV, casting, and wound care.
  • Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record.
