Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Services Intern. As a key member of our team, you will assist in field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and aggregate.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and laboratory testing of construction materials
  • Assist in the interpretation of construction specifications and plans
  • Learn and apply related certifications for construction materials testing of concrete and soil
  • Work with our Geotechnical Engineering team to conduct subsurface investigations with exploration drilling crews
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of testing results and data
Requirements
  • Current college student with concentration studies in building construction, construction technology, construction management, geotechnical/civil/structural engineering, or related field
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions to complete laboratory and field tests
  • General understanding of computers and ability to learn and use new software programs
  • Ability to read and learn to interpret construction specifications and plans
  • Physical and mental requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds frequently, standing for long periods, and moving up and down from kneeling to crouching to bending
