About the Opportunity

Ochsner Health, a renowned healthcare organization in the Gulf South, is seeking an experienced and board-certified Pediatric Palliative Care Physician to lead their pediatric palliative care program as Section Head. The successful candidate will join a well-established team within Ochsner Children's Hospital, the largest not-for-profit academic health system in the region.

This is an exceptional opportunity to serve as a clinical leader, educator, and researcher in pediatric palliative care. The Section Head will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient palliative care services for children, partnering with medical, surgical, and mental health colleagues to deliver comprehensive care.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leadership, teaching, and research experience, with a commitment to advancing the field of pediatric palliative care. They will be expected to teach medical students, residents, and allied health students, while also contributing to clinical research and academic pursuits.

Our Comprehensive Pediatrics Program

Ochsner Children's Hospital offers a full range of pediatric care, from primary to quaternary care, with services provided in all subspecialties. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care for complex conditions, including congenital heart disease, advanced GI and Hepatology, and hematology-oncology.

Ochsner Children's Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 - $450,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
