Pediatric Cardiologist Leader for Innovative Heart Failure Program

Ochsner Health, a leading pediatric healthcare institution in New Orleans, is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiologist to lead its innovative Pediatric Heart Failure Program.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in caring for patients with cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant, congenital heart disease, and ventricular assist devices. The successful candidate will join a team of two established heart failure/heart transplant cardiologists and a newly hired heart failure/transplant physician assistant in the only pediatric heart transplant center in Louisiana.

Our program offers a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Care for patients with complex heart conditions
  • Advanced fellowship training in pediatric heart failure/heart transplant or minimum 5 years of experience in the field
  • Opportunities for education and mentorship of Tulane-Ochsner pediatric residents and medical students, as well as University of Queensland medical students

We are committed to providing exceptional patient care, and our dedicated transplant team includes support from transplant coordinators, transplant psychologist, transplant social worker, transplant pharmacist, and palliative care specialists.

Ochsner Health has a strong presence in pediatric cardiac subspecialties, including EP, ACHD, interventional cardiology, imaging, and fetal cardiology. We have three congenital heart surgeons and a dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care unit.

As a leader in pediatric heart failure care, we participate in prominent programs such as PHTS and ACTION.

This position offers a competitive salary of $450,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
