Advanced Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Patient Care Technician to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient-centric care, ensuring the highest level of comfort and well-being for our patients.
Responsibilities- Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
- Document observations, interactions, patient responses to performed activities, and any physical or behavioral changes.
- Report observations to the RN/Team Lead and assist with mobility, transfers, and discharges.
- Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, and venous compression devices.
- Collect specimens for diagnostic or waived tests and ensure accuracy of labels and transfers.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
- Perform hourly rounding and respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
