Patient Care Technician

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our Orthopedic Unit at Memorial Regional Medical Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and collaborating with our nursing staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign measurement, personal care, and hygiene
- Assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic transfer techniques
- Act as a liaison between patients and nurses, reporting changes and concerns
- Provide high-level customer service to patients, families, and visitors
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs
- Must have completed one of the following: successful completion of nursing aide training program, STNA State Tested Nurse Aide, CNA Certified Nurse Aide, or completed a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility (preferred)
