Position OverviewThe Part-Time Forklift Operator I is tasked with various responsibilities within the warehouse environment, which may involve the operation of a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Forklift. Key duties include assembling pallets, unloading incoming shipments, loading outgoing products, and replenishing stock in designated areas. This role requires navigating the warehouse to collect and organize specific products as per the assigned Pick Ticket while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities- Safely retrieve and arrange product cases onto designated pallets according to the Pick Ticket, ensuring stability and safety.
- Efficiently unload incoming products and materials, transporting them to their assigned storage locations.
- Load outgoing products by moving them from storage areas to loading docks, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Replenish stock in the warehouse and mezzanine areas, maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the work area, completing additional tasks as directed by management.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lifting weights between 30-75 lbs.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Organizational skills to manage warehouse processes effectively.
- Adaptability to different work areas and tasks throughout the shift.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting instructions from digital devices.
- Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between various packages.
- Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive in seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification for Pallet Jack, Single Forklift, Double Forklift, and Scrubber is advantageous.
