Activities Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Activities Therapist to join our multidisciplinary therapy team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring their recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement therapeutic activities for patients, including music, art, recreation, and other therapy programs.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct regular in-room visits to patients who are unable or uninterested in participating in group activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of activity programs and patient participation.
- Adapt treatment programs to meet the changing needs of patients.
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
- No licensure or certification required.
- No experience required, but experience in child and adolescent mental health is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in arts/crafts/music.
- Knowledge of therapeutic activity areas, such as recreation/occupational/music/art therapy.
- Experience facilitating therapeutic groups.
This position is located at UNC Medical Center in Butner, NC. The work schedule is variable, and the salary range is $27.16 per hour.
