Activities Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Activities Therapist to join our multidisciplinary therapy team at UNC Health Care. The ideal candidate will have experience working with child and adolescent mental health and a passion for planning and organizing activities that meet the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and develop quality activities for patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide therapeutic activities and support to patients.
- Organize and conduct music, art, recreation, or other therapy programs, depending on specialty.
- Supervise and coordinate activities to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of activity programs and patient participation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a human services field.
- Experience working with child and adolescent mental health.
- Knowledge of therapeutic activity areas, such as recreation, occupational, music, or art therapy.
- Ability to apply and adapt skills and knowledge of activity areas to planned sessions of therapeutic activities.
