Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily operations of the auto body shop, including staff oversight, scheduling, and workflow coordination.
  • Guarantee that all repairs and services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering parts and supplies as necessary.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance shop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets encompassing labor, materials, and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies and vendors to facilitate repairs and ensure prompt payment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new employees, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to shop operations, including repair orders, inventory, and employee performance.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as a manager in an auto body shop or similar automotive repair setting.
  • Thorough understanding of auto body repair techniques, tools, and industry standards.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide staff.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in shop management software and basic computer applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional management or automotive certifications are advantageous.
