Position: Supply Chain Consultant

Role Summary

As a consultant, your role will involve crafting and implementing tailored strategies to address our clients' unique challenges in areas such as supply chain planning, sourcing, production, and distribution. We adopt a hands-on approach, requiring thorough analysis and innovative solutions from our team members. Our goal is to deliver practical solutions that enable clients to maximize their resources and explore new methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to assess their current operations and build strong, credible relationships.
  • Collect and analyze pertinent data, systems, and processes from both supply and demand perspectives, including conducting interviews and site visits.
  • Identify and document issues, challenges, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop performance metrics and create reports that accurately depict the current and desired future states.
  • Formulate opportunity hypotheses and propose actionable solutions.
  • Evaluate alternative strategies to meet specific savings targets.
  • Collaborate with clients to define requirements for tools and processes, recommend design enhancements, and oversee implementation, including documentation and training.
  • Utilize work plans to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Present effective recommendations and findings to client management and implementation teams.
  • Foster productive client relationships and support team development.
  • Lead and mentor team members while managing project resources in a collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, advisory roles, or hands-on supervisory positions within Supply Chain.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data gaps and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in statistical analytical tools (e.g., Power BI) to drive informed decision-making.
  • Experience in implementation and change management leading to sustainable outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering compelling presentations.
  • Experience in business process mapping and familiarity with mapping software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications.
Preferred Expertise
  • Supply Chain Planning: Experience in demand planning and statistical forecasting.
  • ERP/MRP Systems: Understanding of buyer/planner processes and system capabilities.
  • Sourcing and Capital Allocation: Skills in optimizing make/buy decisions and supplier analysis.
  • Production Management: Familiarity with master scheduling and capacity planning.
  • Inventory Management: Ability to analyze inventory data and implement reduction strategies.
  • Distribution Management: Knowledge of logistics and warehouse optimization.
  • Management Operating Systems: Experience in operational excellence frameworks.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
