Job Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory and field testing (including necessary short trips to various testing sites) to gather image quality datasets for camera innovation.

Design and execute both objective and subjective experiments in lab and field settings to rigorously assess image quality, functionality, and performance of prototype hardware and software.

Evaluate experimental outcomes and provide insights to guide feature enhancement (Hardware, Image Signal Processing, Algorithm design, and optimization) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Document issues, generate reports, and present findings related to image quality advancements.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Over 5 years of experience in a testing or development capacity within a product development environment focused on consumer products.

Proficiency with Camera Image Quality assessment tools and methodologies, including familiarity with Imatest or comparable software.

Experience in setting up Camera IQ laboratories, including the use of test charts, lighting equipment, light panels, and light boxes.

Understanding of various image quality artifacts (such as noise, blemishes, color inaccuracies, etc.).

Knowledge in Camera technology and optics.

Basic understanding of photography principles.
