Job Summary

Aims Community College is seeking a Part-time CDL Certified Third-Party Tester to provide administrative third-party testing for Commercial Driver's License Training group. The successful candidate will serve as a Colorado Certified Third-Party Tester for Aims Community College's Commercial Driver's License Training program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer CDL tests in accordance with state regulations and standards set forth in the 3rd Party Colorado CDL Testers Manual.
  • Provide educated feedback to trainees on additional training time needed, corrective training suggestions, and retesting recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the client success team to ensure effective testing and training outcomes.
  • Attend State Sanctioned refresher training courses as required.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid CDL of the same (or higher) class, with all necessary endorsements, to operate the CMV for which training is provided.
  • Meet all applicable State qualification requirements for CMV instructors.
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience operating a CMV requiring a CDL of the same (or higher) class, or the same endorsement, or two years' experience as a BTW CMV instructor.
  • Hold a valid/non-expired DOT Medical Card/Certification.
  • Demonstrate basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and specialized software.
  • Ability to pass initial and required random 11-panel drug screens.
  • A pre-employment post-offer physical examination will be required.
  • Ability to stand on pavement for extended periods in all types of weather.
  • Ability to instruct/train in inclement weather.
  • Must be able to bend and pick up traffic cones.
  • Colorado State-Certified Third-Party Tester License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Colorado State-Certified CDL Instructor.
