Job Title: Manual Machinist II

At Separators, Inc., we are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist II to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a key member of our manufacturing Cell, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machine tools, including lathes and milling machines, to cut and produce precision parts for machines, instruments, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate machine tools, such as lathes and milling machines, to fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments and machine tools.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools, including specialized or advanced variation tools, to perform precision machining operations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 4-6 years of previous experience as a Machinist.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.
