About the Role

As a Medical Care Assistant at MaineHealth, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to patients in our geriatric services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist registered nurses in delivering nursing care to designated patients.

Educational Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position. Additionally, you must hold a current applicable state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant and obtain a BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Care Assistant, your duties will include performing various direct and indirect care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive exceptional care.
